System Requirements and Network#

Check the supported Linux platform, desktop services, TPM, and network access before installing.

Overview#

The earlier Linux desktop package was tested on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS for amd64/x86_64. ISA is part of Digital Design Studio, not a separate platform requirement. Altifigence CLI is distributed as a Linux x86_64 archive. Windows delivery is part of Digital Design Studio, including ALcad; check the shared Downloads page for current public availability.

The desktop .deb packages declare their GTK, system WebView, and TPM runtime dependencies. Install them with apt so the operating system can resolve those dependencies. A headless shell, container, or remote terminal alone cannot run the desktop applications.

The desktop licence is bound to the current machine. A missing TPM 2.0 device, an account that cannot access it, or unreadable device-trust state can block the licensed-local gate even when the application window opens. Do not disable the gate or copy device-trust files from another machine.

CLI Tools and GPU Requirements#

The headless CLI does not require Tauri, GTK, GLib, a graphical desktop, or the desktop TPM licence flow. Installation uses Linux root privileges and the audited embedded helpers; ordinary local source work runs as the project owner. The signed Tcl component is installed at its fixed system path. See Install on Linux for the host utilities and directory rules.

Native XLS CPU operations need no Google toolchain. xls upstream installs a separate pinned Linux x86_64 Google toolchain and reports which evaluators it actually contains. Bounded Evolve execution needs Icarus iverilog and vvp. CUDA operations additionally require a supported CUDA-capable device and functioning driver access. Driver discovery alone is not execution qualification; CPU-only operations remain available without CUDA when their other prerequisites hold.

The native DDS mutation and release-install contracts are Linux-only. These instructions do not establish a signed Windows CLI release or general support for every container, WSL host, GPU, or driver combination.

The loopback callback does not require a public inbound firewall rule. Browser isolation, endpoint security, a proxy, or a VPN can still block browser access to 127.0.0.1. Keep the application open until the callback completes.

Internet access is required for download and first sign-in. A licence request can still fail after account sign-in. Do not bypass the check; contact support with the exact screen message. If a valid local entitlement is already stored, the desktop can pass the gate offline while that entitlement remains valid. No public offline duration is promised. Optional online features and external toolchains can have additional requirements that are not part of this first-launch allowlist.

Other Hardware and Platforms#

The Windows MSIX target is x64, Windows 11 (minimum build 22000), with a usable WebView2 runtime. Protected offline execution additionally needs supported device trust and rollback protection; detecting a TPM 2.0 device alone is not proof that a machine or release satisfies that requirement.

Minimum RAM, free disk space, display resolution, CPU count, and browser version have not been published as universal product minimums. The desktop qualification above does not extend to other distributions, non-x86_64 systems, virtual machines, or containers; the separate CLI requirements do not imply desktop support.
