First Launch and Account Access

Start locally and sign in when an account service or protected feature requires it.

Overview

Downloading and installing Digital Design Studio does not require a website account. Local editing, account services, and protected features have separate access rules. ISA uses the same Digital Design Studio workspace and account context.

Local Use

If your installed release offers Continue without login, use it to enter the local editor without creating an account. This does not issue a signed account session or paid licence. Start with a local project you control, save an edit, and reopen it. Available local operations depend on the installed release.

Sign In for Account Services

Choose Sign in when you need account services. Finish the flow in your browser, then return to the application. Desktop sign-in uses a temporary loopback callback on 127.0.0.1; it does not need a public inbound port. Cloud compute, AI, organization resources, and paid features still check their own permissions and available usage.

Licence and Troubleshooting

Signing in does not guarantee access to every feature. A protected local runtime may require a valid machine entitlement; account and offline validity depend on that feature. Keep credentials in the operating system secure store. Never copy licence files, device-trust data, or another machine’s credentials to bypass a failure.

If sign-in, licence refresh, or the credential store fails, record the product version, operating system, and exact message. Retry after checking the connection and credential service, then contact support if it persists. Do not send tokens or project source.

CLI Authentication

Installing the CLI does not grant Cloud access. Use the scoped authentication flow documented for each command; see CLI authentication and CLI installation.
