Save your work before updating

Review the work listed before a Digital Design Studio update on Windows, cancel to save it, or choose whether to continue.

When Digital Design Studio shows Save your work before updating, review the list before you continue. The update closes DDS and opens it again.

Review the work listed

The list can include unsaved file, settings, ALcad or vFactory edits, an AI reply still being written, and work DDS could not check. It can also name another DDS window or the project and window DDS could not save for reopening.

Cancel, then save or finish your work

  1. Select Cancel to return to your work.

  2. Save or finish the listed items in their editing screens. For open code files, save each changed file; the default save shortcut is Ctrl+S. Wait for an AI reply to finish before updating.

  3. Start the update again when you are ready.

Continue with the update

Select Update anyway only if you agree to lose the listed work. An AI reply still being written stops and is not sent again. DDS may ask again if it finds more work to review.
