Understand QUOTA reservations

Distinguish a request's estimated reservation from settled usage.

When an Agent request uses your included allowance, a reservation holds its estimated usage while the request is processed.

Reservation and settlement

  1. QUOTA reserved

    Estimated usage

  2. QUOTA used

    Usage-based deduction

Read the three balances

In Unified QUOTA, QUOTA remaining is the allowance available for new reservations. QUOTA used records usage already deducted in the current period. QUOTA reserved records allowance held for requests whose usage is still being handled.

The remaining balance accounts for both used and reserved QUOTA. Open QUOTA period details to compare the period's grant, remaining balance, usage and reservations together.

Understand settlement

The initial reservation is an estimate. Settlement records the request's charge using its usage information. A request can remain reserved while its cost is being confirmed. A request released before it starts has its reservation released.

Read the current period

Compare reservations and usage for the same selected organization and allowance period. See Read your weekly QUOTA for the steps to read the summary and its reset.
