Inspect local compute availability
Read the installed local compute discovery result before choosing an execution workflow.
Use Altifigence CLI 0.1.9 on Linux for this local workflow.
Require exit status 0 before reading a saved result. Keep standard error separately and inspect the result fields described below.
Inspect the installed backend
Run the capability command from the directory where you keep your project. It delegates to the compute discovery tool delivered beside the CLI and prints a JSON capability document. Keep the normal output mode in this example: it writes the native document to standard output, which makes the saved file convenient to inspect or compare later.
alti compute capabilities > compute-capabilities.jsonRead the capability document
Open compute-capabilities.json and check the schema, then read the cuda object. feature_enabled describes the build, discovery records CUDA availability for the installed build and local environment, and execution_supported describes this particular discovery surface. The discovery operation has a bounded five-second wait. Its result is useful evidence about the installed environment, including a reported unavailable reason when discovery cannot complete.
{"schema":"alti.compute.capabilities.v1","cuda":{"execution_supported":false,"kernels":[]}}The block above shows selected stable fields; the complete output also includes feature_enabled and discovery. Save the complete document with your project evidence. To inspect the separate packed RTL contract, run the next command and read its operations and cpu_execution fields. Keep the two documents together so a later run can be compared against the environment that produced your result.
alti compute rtl-capabilities > rtl-capabilities.jsonRestore the packaged discovery tool
If the CLI reports required packaged local engine sibling alti-compute was not found beside alti, restore the complete verified CLI 0.1.9 release directory, including its packaged alti-compute sibling, and invoke alti from that directory. Repeat the command below and save the resulting discovery document.
alti compute capabilities > compute-capabilities.json
