Resolve a local MCP tool error
Check the local XLS connection, tool name and execution receipt.
Use these checks for the local XLS connection in the verified Linux x86_64 Altifigence CLI bundle.
Check the server process
In your MCP client's stdio settings, use the installed alti-mcp executable's absolute path, leave the argument list empty, and set ALTI_MCP_MODE to local-xls in the server process's environment. Keep alti-xls beside alti-mcp in the verified installation. Follow Use local XLS tools over MCP for setup.
Check the tool call
For Unknown tool in local XLS mode., refresh the connection's tool list and use the exact name it returns. Call altifigence.local.xls.capabilities with {} to inspect the installed engine's capabilities.
For Method not found: … with JSON-RPC code -32601, send the call with method tools/call and put the tool name in params.name.
For Capabilities accepts no arguments., use {} for arguments. For Unsupported local XLS argument., use the fields in that tool's input schema.
Read the execution receipt
When a tool returns an execution receipt, inspect receipt.status, receipt.exitCode, receipt.stderr and engine in structuredContent.
