Create a local project
Create a local project with starter RTL, a testbench and Evolve configuration files.
Use Altifigence CLI 0.1.9 on Linux to create a project with starter RTL, a testbench and Evolve configuration files.
Prepare a project folder
Run the installed CLI as your ordinary user. Choose a project parent folder that you own. Use its canonical absolute path and keep it writable only by you.
set -euo pipefail
mkdir -p "$HOME/alti-projects"
chmod 700 "$HOME/alti-projects"
PROJECT_PARENT="$(cd "$HOME/alti-projects" && pwd -P)"Create the project
alti ide init --parent "$PROJECT_PARENT" --name "Demo Project"For a parent folder of /home/user/alti-projects, the command prints:
Created IDE project /home/user/alti-projects/demo-project (7 files)The name becomes the folder name demo-project. The project contains:
demo-project/
.gitignore
rtl/top.sv
tb/top_tb.sv
evolve/demo-project/evaluator.py
evolve/demo-project/experiment.py
evolve/demo-project/launch.sh
evolve/demo-project/run-spec.jsonThe .gitignore file contains .alti/. To capture a structured result for a different new project, use:
alti --json ide init --parent "$PROJECT_PARENT" --name "Second Project"Require exit status 0. The result has schema altifigence.ide-project-init-receipt.v1, status created, the absolute project path, and the sorted files list.
Recover from a name collision
If the destination already exists, the command reports IDE project already exists: <path>. Choose a different project name and run the command again:
alti ide init --parent "$PROJECT_PARENT" --name "Demo Project Two"For IDE project parent must be a canonical absolute directory, resolve the parent with pwd -P as shown above, then retry with that path.
