Read a SPICE waveform

Inspect saved SPICE signal values and units.

In ALcad on Windows or Cloud, open saved AC or transient SPICE results that match your circuit or SPICE input.

Open results

  1. Open the matching circuit or input. Choose SPICE · schematic or SPICE · netlist, as appropriate for the saved results.

  2. Choose Open saved SPICE results and select the saved JSON result file.

  3. If Waveform view is shown, choose Single run.

Read a trace

  1. Choose a signal in SPICE trace. Each entry shows its name and unit.

  2. For AC results, use Waveform display to choose Real, Imaginary, Magnitude, or Phase. Phase values use degrees.

  3. Click the plot or move Waveform sample to inspect a sample. Read its position, signal value, and unit beside the controls.
