Measure a recorded digital waveform

Set two time points and read recorded state durations and change counts for one bit.

Use a recorded digital time waveform in ALcad in Cloud 2.1.2.10 or the Windows app 2.1.2.3.

Choose the signal and bit

  1. Open Measurements in the waveform toolbar area.

  2. Choose a displayed trace in Measured signal, then choose Measured bit (LSB = 0). Bit 0 is the least significant bit.

Set points A and B

  1. Move the Digital waveform sample slider to the first point and choose Set A at cursor.

  2. Move the slider to the second point. The current cursor is point B.

  3. Read A and B in the Point, Time and Bit value table. Times are shown in seconds.

Read the recorded interval

  1. Use Previous change or Next change to move the cursor to an adjacent recorded change in the selected bit.

Observed interval shows the earlier and later of the two points. Interval duration gives the time between them.

Read the time spent in each recorded state, 0, 1, X and Z, and the counts under 0 → 1 changes, 1 → 0 changes and Changes involving X/Z.
