Import fab data into a seeded model

Import a fab model or related source files, resolve import diagnostics and review the adopted model.

Import your files

In Cloud and Windows 2.1.2.3, select vFactory → Wafer Process & Fab from the product menu, choose Process models, and select Seeded fab simulation (v2) in Model.

Choose 1–64 related source files, up to 32 MiB per file and 64 MiB in total. A single fab-model JSON file can be up to 4 MiB.

  1. Select Import fab data and choose your files. For a saved seeded model, choose its input JSON file.

  2. In Cloud, choose an .xlsx or .xmdx workbook, or supported text tables including options.def and its related tables. In Windows 2.1.2.3, choose an .xlsx workbook or supported text tables including options.def and its related tables.

  3. Wait for “Fab model imported.”, then review the model inputs.

Resolve import diagnostics

  1. Read Import diagnostics for the source file, record and reported cause.

  2. When SMT release scenario appears, enter the exact release worksheet name shown in the diagnostics.

  3. When Use the directed Setups table appears for a setup overview conflict, select it to use that table for timing.

  4. Select Retry fab import after supplying the requested choices. Correct other reported source issues in the source files and select Import fab data to choose the corrected files.

Review and run

  1. Review the imported model before selecting Run simulation.

  2. For a section change, choose Model section, edit Section JSON and select Apply section. In Cloud, expand Advanced inputs first.

  3. Use Cancel simulation to stop an active import or simulation.
