Save a fab scene photo

Open Photo in a prepared Cloud 3D scene, set the samples and exposure, and save the rendered image as PNG.

Open Photo

These steps apply to Cloud. Open vFactory → Wafer Process & Fab, then select Reference fab.

  1. Select 3D map and frame the view you want to save.

  2. Open Fab settings and find Photo in the Rendering section.

  3. Wait until the 3D scene is ready and the Photo button is enabled, then select Photo.

Render a photo

When the panel offers Samples per pixel, the scene supports a path-traced photo through WebGPU compute.

  1. Choose 64, 256 or 1024 under Samples per pixel.

  2. Set Exposure offset (EV) between −3 and 3.

  3. Select Start photo and follow the preview and sample progress.

  4. When Save PNG appears, select it to save the rendered image.

Select Cancel to stop an active render. If the stopped render has an image with completed samples, Save PNG becomes available for that image.

The photo render uses 1920 × 1080 pixels. The exported PNG includes a reconstruction and assumptions footer.

Save the realtime view

When the panel offers Save this view (not path traced) for WebGL2, select it to save the current realtime view as PNG. Select Close to return to the scene.
