Change the reference fab’s tool count

Choose 200–400 reference tools, open the updated example and check the tool total.

Choose the size of the reference example from Fab setup. These steps apply to vFactory in Cloud and the Windows app. The initial reference fab contains 300 tools.

Set the tool count

  1. Open vFactory and select Reference fab. For the initial navigation, see the reference-fab guide below.

  2. Select Fab settings, the gear button in the scene toolbar.

  3. Expand Fab setup and enter a whole number from 200 to 400 in Reference tools. For example, enter 250.

  4. Select Open reference fab to apply the number.

Changing the field alone leaves the opened model as it is. Open reference fab creates the reference model and layout using the entered number.

Check the opened fab

  1. Reopen Fab settings if the panel closes.

  2. Check that the panel shows Our reference fab.

  3. Read the tool total in the summary. With 250 entered and applied, the summary shows 250 tools. The summary also lists tool groups, zones and OHT ports.

The same Open reference fab control returns from an imported layout to the reference example with your chosen count.

Correct an invalid count

If Choose 200–400 tools. appears, enter a whole number in that range and select Open reference fab again.

Open the reference fab in vFactory

The reference fab is an example. Its layout and process data are assumptions, not data from a real fab.
