Move between levels in vFactory

Choose a destination level, walk to its stairs or elevator, and change levels.

Open the reference fab in vFactory, then move between its levels using the stairs or elevator. These steps apply to Cloud and the Windows app.

Open the walking controls

  1. Select Visitor tools in the scene toolbar to open the visitor panel.

  2. Select Walk here. Expand Stairs / elevator in the walking controls. This section appears in Walk view for a scene with facility levels.

Visitor tools in Walk view with Stairs / elevator expanded. The Destination level list is open and shows Utility level, Subfab and Fan deck, each followed by the start of its elevation Z value, and Connection is set to Stairs. The position line reads Cleanroom · X 15000 · Y 6000 · Z 0 mm.

Choose a level and connection

  1. In Destination level, choose the level you want to visit. Each option shows its elevation Z in mm. The current level is left out of this list.

  2. In Connection, choose Stairs or Elevator from the connections joining your current level to the destination.

  3. Select Walk to connection. Wait until the status says Arrived at destination.

  4. Select Change level. The level name and X, Y and Z coordinates beside Visit the fab show your visitor position.

Visitor tools after a level change: the position line of Visit the fab reads Subfab · X 3500 · Y 5000 · Z -7000 mm, and Stairs / elevator shows Destination level, Connection set to Stairs, the Walk to connection and Change level buttons and the status Level change started.

After Walk to connection and Change level, the position line shows the new level, Subfab, with its X, Y and Z coordinates.

Move and stop

Focus the scene in Walk view. W/S or the Up/Down arrow keys move forward and backward; A/D step sideways. The Left/Right arrow keys turn, and Shift makes you run. E operates a nearby door.

Select Stop walking to stop the current route. Reset visitor position returns the visitor to the entrance and closes the doors opened during the visit.
