Import backend durations for delivery estimates
Import backend step durations into Design to wafer, inspect the steps and calculate delivery estimates.
Prepare the backend JSON
These steps apply to Cloud and Windows 2.1.2.3. From the product menu, select vFactory → Wafer Process & Fab, then select Design to wafer. Prepare a JSON file of at most 1 MiB with schema, name and steps. Use the schema altifigence.vfactory-backend/v1. Each step contains name and durationS; durations are numbers in seconds.
Supply 1–32 steps with distinct names. Model and step names contain 1–256 characters and start and end with a non-space character. Each duration and their total are between 0 and 31536000 seconds.
{"schema":"altifigence.vfactory-backend/v1","name":"Assembly and test","steps":[{"name":"Assembly","durationS":3600},{"name":"Test","durationS":1800}]}Import and inspect
Load the design source first with Import DDS / tapeout source. Importing a design source replaces the backend model with the one in that file, or clears it when the file has none.
Under Backend model, select Import backend JSON and choose the file.
Wait for “Backend model imported.”, then review the model name, imported steps and each duration.
Review the design inputs and select Run design to wafer.
Under Lot completion and delivery, read Completion (s) and Delivery (s). For each completed lot, delivery is fab completion plus the total imported backend duration.
Replace or remove the backend
Select Import backend JSON to replace the model with another valid file, or select Remove backend to clear it.
Select Run design to wafer again to calculate a result using the updated backend choice.
Reference-fab outputs are estimates from synthetic model assumptions.
