Import a design source
Load a design input JSON package into vFactory and review its source before calculating a preview or running the reference fab.
Import your package
From the product menu, select vFactory → Wafer Process & Fab, then select Design to wafer. These import steps apply to Cloud and Windows 2.1.2.3.
Select Import DDS / tapeout source and choose a JSON file of at most 1 MiB.
Wait for Source package imported.
Review Source project, GDS path, Structure, Die dimensions from GDS bounding box and Source SHA-256.
Review the geometry, yield, environment and lot inputs before selecting Calculate preview or Run design to wafer.
Prepare the JSON
Use either a complete DesignToWaferInput object or a source-only package with exactly one top-level key, source. The source object contains projectId, gdsPath, inputSha256, structure and boundsM. boundsM is [minX, minY, maxX, maxY] in metres. Use a .gds or .gdsii path and a SHA-256 value of 64 lowercase hexadecimal characters.
A complete input also contains scribeUm, edgeExclusionMm, d0PerCm2, alpha, lotCount, wafersPerLot, releaseIntervalS and environment. The environment object contains isoClass, particleDiameterUm, downflowMPerS, settlingMPerS, exposureS, depositionFraction and killerFraction. Supply numbers as JSON numbers. A source-only package starts with the workbench defaults; a complete package supplies its own assumptions.
In Cloud, each die side measured from boundsM must be 1.5–20 mm. Cloud also accepts the optional routeId values logic-a and logic-b. For Windows 2.1.2.3, prepare the package using the source and input fields above.
Review and run
Calculate preview displays the 300 mm wafer geometry and yield estimates. Run design to wafer starts the reference-fab simulation. When a project is connected, use the project identified by Source project to run and save the design.
In a capable Cloud project, the Digital Design Studio GDS viewer also offers Send to vFactory for a projected structure. That handoff opens the design for you to review its route and lot quantities before selecting Run design to wafer.
Use vFactory: explore a fab and follow a design to wafer
The reference fab uses synthetic process assumptions. Results are model estimates.
