Follow a lot through the 3D fab
Select a lot from a completed fab run and follow its carrier between tool slots.
Follow a selected lot through the fab with the 3D camera, and inspect its recorded operation as playback advances.
Use these steps in Cloud or the Windows app. Playback follows the recorded events of a completed fab simulation.
Prepare a run
For opening vFactory and checking model inputs, see Run your first process model in vFactory.
Open the Process models tab in vFactory. In Model, choose Seeded fab simulation (v2).
Review the model inputs, then select Run simulation.
After the run completes with a full event recording, find the fab scene below the computed results. Select Fab settings (the gear button) in its toolbar.
Choose and follow a lot
In Playback lot inspector, choose an ID in My lot. You can also enter the full ID in Find lot by exact ID to select a matching lot.
Choose a lot that has not completed at the displayed time. Select Follow lot in 3D, then Play simulation.
Use 3D map to watch the camera move with the carrier between tool slots. In 2D map, the selected carrier is highlighted.
Read State, Current operation (1-based) and Completed operations in the lot inspector. The follow status names the operation, equipment and slot when those are recorded at the displayed time.
While a lot is followed, the camera moves with its carrier and the follow status names the operation, equipment and slot.
Stop or change the followed lot
Select Stop following to end camera following. Selecting another lot, or choosing No highlighted lot, also ends following. Select Follow lot in 3D again to follow the newly selected lot.
Following stops when the lot completes its route. To inspect an earlier part of its route, move Simulation time (s) back to an earlier time, then select Follow lot in 3D again.
Example inputs are synthetic assumptions. Results simulate the supplied model, not measured production data.
