Choose rendering quality and inspect the graphics device
Choose a 3D quality tier, read render diagnostics and enable dynamic resolution in Cloud.
Use Quality to choose how vFactory draws the fab, and Render diagnostics to inspect the renderer and graphics device. The quality and diagnostics steps below apply to Cloud and Windows.
Choose 3D quality
Open the reference fab using Open the reference fab in vFactory.
Choose 3D map in the scene toolbar.
Select Fab settings (the gear button), then expand Rendering if it is collapsed.
In Quality, choose Auto ({tier}), Ultra, High, Medium or Low. The Auto option shows the automatically selected tier in place of {tier}.
In Quality, Auto (Medium) means that Auto selected the Medium tier for this graphics device.
Auto chooses a tier for the graphics device and can adjust it while the scene runs. Choosing a tier manually sets the requested quality. Changing the choice restarts the 3D renderer.
vFactory keeps the quality choice in local application storage.
Read render diagnostics
With 3D map active and the scanner inside view closed, wait until the 3D fab view is ready. Then open Fab settings → Rendering and select Render diagnostics.
Read Backend and GPU adapter to see the graphics backend and adapter reported by the renderer.
Check Quality tier for the active tier and Selection reason for how it was selected.
Read Render scale, Device pixel ratio, Effective pixel ratio and Canvas pixels to inspect the current rendering size.
Check Last adaptive change for the previous automatic tier change. It shows No changes when no change has been recorded.
Select Render diagnostics again to close the readout.
Render diagnostics on a computer with an integrated Intel GPU. The values depend on your graphics device and window size.
Enable dynamic resolution in Cloud
In Cloud, Rendering also contains Enable dynamic resolution. With Ultra, High or Medium as the active tier, select this checkbox to let the renderer adjust render scale within that tier’s range.
Dynamic resolution is off by default. Changing the checkbox restarts the renderer, and vFactory keeps this choice in local application storage. Use Render diagnostics to read the current Render scale.
