Find and replace text in a file

Search the open file, replace matching text, or jump to a line in Digital Design Studio.

In Digital Design Studio on Cloud or Windows, open a file and click inside its editor.

Find text

1. Press Ctrl+F to open Find.

2. Type the text to find. The match counter shows your position among the matches.

3. Press Enter to go to the next match, or Shift+Enter to go to the previous match. Press Escape to close the search.

Replace text

1. Open an editable file and press Ctrl+H.

2. Enter the text to find in Find and the new text in Replace.

3. Select Replace to replace the current match, or Replace All to replace every match in the open file.

Go to a line

1. Press Ctrl+G.

2. Enter a line number, such as 42, or a line and column, such as 42:10.

3. Press Enter or select Go. The editor moves the cursor to that position.
