Open a file by name

Find a project file by its name or path and open it in the editor.

Use Go to File in Cloud or the Windows app to open a file from the current project.

Find and open a file

  1. Open your project and press Ctrl+P, the default shortcut for Go to File.

  2. In Type a file name…, type part of a filename or path. The list updates as you type.

  3. Click a result, or select it with the Up and Down arrow keys and press Enter. The file opens in the editor.

Adjust the search

Matching ignores letter case and searches the file path. If No results appears, shorten the query or use another part of the path.

  1. Press Escape to close the file picker.
