Inspect existing Git worktrees

Find existing worktrees and read their branch, path, HEAD and state.

On Windows, open the primary repository folder as a local project. In Cloud, use a project with an active, connected workspace.

Read the worktree list

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P and choose “Show Worktrees”.

  2. Read “Branches”, “Path”, HEAD and “State”. HEAD shows the first eight characters of the commit identifier.

  3. Enter part of a path, branch name or full commit identifier in “Search worktrees”. Search ignores letter case.

  4. Clear the search and choose “Refresh” to read the list again.

Cloud shows the project’s /workspace row. On Windows, the list comes from the repository’s existing worktrees.
