Run a Windows SPICE DC calculation with R/I

Calculate node voltages and branch currents for a saved resistor and independent current-source circuit on your PC.

Use a Local project in Digital Design Studio for Windows 2.1.2.3. Sign in with an active paid plan and select an organization with access to SPICE DC computation. The calculation runs on this PC.

Save a circuit input

Save this resistor and current-source example as circuits/ri.cir in the project. Save any editor changes before running.

Resistor and current-source example
R1 n 0 10
I1 0 n DC 2m
.op
.end

Run and read the result

  1. In Flow Navigator, expand Simulation and choose SPICE DC operating point.

  2. Enter circuits/ri.cir in Saved workspace .cir file.

  3. Choose Run DC operating point.

  4. Read Node voltages in volts and Branch currents in amperes.

Download and reopen the result

  1. Choose Download result JSON to keep the result, or Download table CSV to export the tables.

  2. Choose Open saved result JSON and select the downloaded R/I JSON report to read it again.
