Explore the RTL hierarchy on Windows

Expand the module tree and open a module's source or view in a Windows RTL project.

Use Digital Design Studio 2.1.2.3 for Windows with a local project containing saved Verilog or SystemVerilog modules.

Open the module tree

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the command palette, then run Show Hierarchy.

  2. Wait for the project RTL structure to load in the left panel.

  3. Expand the tree to inspect modules and their instances.

Open a module's source or view

  1. Right-click a module or instance and choose Open Source to open its source file.

  2. To open a view for that module, right-click the item and choose Open viewer → Open Schematic View or Open viewer → Open waveform.
