Check a Cloud file after a save error
Preserve your text under a new name, then reopen the original file to check its saved contents.
If Cloud shows The file could not be saved., keep the text editor open while you preserve your work.
Keep your edits
With the file selected, press Ctrl+Shift+S to open Save file as.
In New file path, enter a new path within the project that is not already in use.
Select Save and wait for it to finish before editing again. After a successful Save As, the editor switches to the new file. The original saved file stays unchanged.
If File changed on disk appears, the saved file changed while you had unsaved work. Saving under a new name preserves both versions.
Check the saved contents
After the new copy has saved successfully, open the original file from the project file list. Compare its contents with your new copy. The original file shows the contents saved at that path; the new copy keeps the edits you preserved.
If Save As is not confirmed
The save result could not be confirmed. Your editor is unchanged. Refresh and inspect the destination before trying again.
Select Cancel to close the dialog and keep the current editor open. Right-click the toolbar above the project file list and choose Refresh workspace. Check the destination you entered in New file path. If the file is listed, open it and inspect its contents before another save attempt. Keep your original editor contents until you have confirmed a saved copy.
