Compare SPEF parasitic corners

Compare minimum, typical and maximum SPEF parasitics using the same nets, endpoints and load currents.

Use a Cloud 2.1.2.10 project or a Local project in Digital Design Studio for Windows 2.1.2.3. Sign in with an active paid plan and select an organization with access to SPEF computation. The calculation runs on this device.

Prepare a comparison

Save a SPEF file with min:typ:max parasitic values and a matching configured-analysis JSON file in the project. The configuration specifies the Elmore net, root and target, plus the IR-drop net, ground and load currents.

Compare the three corners

  1. In Flow Navigator, expand Analysis and choose SPEF RC analysis.

  2. Enter the saved paths in SPEF input and Configured-analysis JSON.

  3. Choose Compare min / typ / max.

  4. In Parasitic corner comparison, compare Elmore delay and Maximum IR drop for the three corners.

  5. Choose Details in a corner's row to inspect its net and endpoint details.

The comparison uses the same net selections, endpoints and load currents for all three corners.
