Create an architecture declaration

Add word width, address width and endianness to an empty CX document.

These steps apply to Cloud 2.1.2.10 and Windows 2.1.2.3. On Windows, sign in first. Open a project you can edit and start with an empty CX document.

Create and save the declaration

  1. In Digital Design Studio, open Flow Navigator → ISA Design → ISA Authoring.

  2. Use the CX document selector in the ISA panel to choose an empty, writable CX file. In a project with no CX files, authoring starts with an empty main.cx.

  3. Open the ISA panel, then choose Model → Structure → State / Registers.

  4. Under Architecture, select New architecture to open the declaration form.

  5. In CX declaration, replace NEW_ARCH with demo32, WIDTH with 32, and ADDRESS_BITS with 32. Keep endian = little and the enclosing braces.

  6. Select Apply to CX to put the declaration in the CX source.

  7. Select Save ISA source to save the CX document.
